100 years in the bag.

We’ve been offering outstanding products and service since 1918, when our founder Hyman Yanofsky found himself with 200,000 jute bags after an auction. After selling the bags, he decided this might be a good business and the rest, as they say, is history. We began manufacturing cotton and jute bags in 1935 when we purchased our first printing press. In 1946, Hyman’s son Lawrence joined and expanded the company throughout Quebec. In 1971, Lawrence’s son Peter joined and we started manufacturing woven polypropylene bags. In 1981, we began importing woven polypropylene bags, and in 1989, built a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and warehouse from where we operate to this day. Since then, we’ve grown our product line to include Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs), Paper Poly Woven bags, and BOPP bags and more. In 2000, Lawrence’s grandson Andrew became the fourth generation Yanofsky to join the business. In 2018, we’re celebrating our 100-year anniversary, so here’s to another 100 years of excellence!
